Gas supply will be stopped in different areas of the capital from 2pm to 8pm today (Saturday) for emergency repair work. Several nearby areas, including Demra, Shonir Akhra, Jurain, Matuail, Postogola, and Dholaipar, will not have gas at this time.
Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited said that due to the urgent repair work of the gas pipeline, the connection of all categories of customers in these areas will be closed for the scheduled 6 hours.
According to Titas, gas supply will be stopped from 2 pm to 8 pm in Sarulia, East Buxnagar, Haji Nagar, Barabhanga, Konapara, Demra staff quarters, Amulia, Ranimahal, Nimai Kasari, Rasulnagar, Sukusi and from the eastern side of Kanchpur Bridge to Sultana Kamal Bridge.
Apart from this, gas supply will also be stopped in Shanir Akhra, Matuail, Postogola, Jurain, Haji Khorshed Ali Road, Zia Sarani, Dhania, Jater Bagh, Japanese Bazar, Khuder Bazar, Dholaipar Mor, Madrasa Road, Pipe Road, Kajlar Mor, Mirer Bagicha and Baghmara areas.
According to the Titas Gas Authority, there may be a low pressure of gas in the mentioned areas as well as the adjacent areas within the stipulated time. Titas Gas has apologised to its customers for the inconvenience caused.
