Jannatul Sumaiya Himi, one of the most popular actresses of this generation in Bangladesh's theater scene, celebrated her birthday on October 4. Due to her busy schedule, she spent her birthday in the middle of shooting. Himi was busy with work on a play titled 'Akaron', written and directed by Zubair Ibne Bakr.
Himi said that she is playing the role of 'Tanu' in the play 'Akaron'. Sharing her experience of the play, Himi said, "To be honest, there was no other way. That is why I had to work on the play even on my birthday. My co-star in the play 'Akaron' is Niloy Alamgir Bhai. The story of the play is very beautiful; the stories of our daily lives have come up in it. Since the scenes were shot in different areas of the capital including Motijheel Colony and Farmgate, there is also a lot of variation in terms of location, which the audience will like. And as usual, I tried to portray my character with attention. I am grateful to my fans, viewers and well-wishers because they showered me with greetings and love on my birthday. I express my gratitude to my media family and my own family, who have kept me in a beautiful and disciplined life. My infinite love for my mother and father."
Besides, Himi is also acting in a drama series titled 'Prothom Premer Golpo' directed by Tanvir Tanmoy for the 'Naf Entertainment' YouTube channel. She has high expectations for this. In this too, Niloy Alamgir is acting opposite her.
It is worth noting that Himi cut her birthday cake with her parents at her home on the night of October 3. Himi's mother Roksana Begum asked the countrymen and fans to pray for her daughter, saying, "Everyone please pray for my daughter Himi, may Allah keep her healthy and well. May she be able to present more beautiful dramas to the audience in the future."
Himi, who practiced singing as a child, has also left her mark on music in addition to acting. In 2025, she sang the song titled 'Tumi Amay Bhalobosh' with Siam Ahmed on the popular magazine show 'Ityadi'. Then, in 2026, the actress sang another duet song titled 'Dujan Dujanar' with Rafi. The only film in which Himi acted is 'Hathat Dekha', directed by Reshmi Mitra.
